Vein mining — VeinMiner
VeinMiner mines connected blocks in a vein when you break one of them. It works on ores (pickaxe) and on wood (axe). On Lania, this mechanic requires a tool with the Veinmine enchantment. The server uses VeinMiner’s default settings.
Getting the enchantment
Enchant a pickaxe or an axe at an enchanting table and look for Veinmine among the available enchantments. It appears randomly, so it may take several attempts.
How to use it
- Hold a pickaxe or an axe with Veinmine. A pickaxe works on ore, an axe works on wood.
- Break one block in the vein or one block of the trunk. Connected blocks are mined automatically.
You do not need to sneak or press a separate key. No client mod is required.
Limits
- Without the enchantment, your pickaxe and axe mine normally.
- The default rules target ores with pickaxes and wood with axes: the enchantment does not enable mass mining of every block type.
- The maximum chain is 100 blocks.
- Every mined block consumes tool durability.
- Your tool must be suitable for the blocks you mine: the enchantment does not bypass tool requirements.
